UVA and UVB Protection is a Must

It doesn’t matter if you’re spending the summer on your balcony, or you’re heading to some exotic place, sunscreen, must be given a lot of thought.  If you are concerned with antiaging and want to avoid premature aging, you should be purchasing or a sunscreen that will protect you and your loved ones from both UVA and UVB rays.

Although it is one more thing for us to have our minds, we know how the Sun has changed and how damaging it can be to our skin and our health. Anyone above the age of 40 will attest to countless sunburns and the only thing applied on their skin was oil or suntan lotion. Many of those are paying the price with skin cancer and advanced aging.

Today, things have changed. The atmosphere has changed and our attitudes about many things have too. We are all more informed and therefore, we need to make educated decisions when it comes to our health and the health of our loved ones. Sunscreen or sunblock plays a big role in any responsible person’s life.

Not only is proper sunscreen required when stepping outside, it must be reapplied accordingly, but it doesn’t end there. If not for your over all health, then for your appearance, avoid sun tanning. Where a hat, wear sunglasses to protect your eyes from the harmful rays, put on a shirt made of lightweight, breathable fabric.

In choosing a sunscreen, many factors need to be considered: does it protect from UVA and UVB rays; is it waterproof; how often does it need to be reapplied; the SPF; does it contain PABA; does it contain parabens? All these questions should be answered. PABA and parabens should be avoided.
