Sugar Related Health and Weight Problems

What’s 8 Times More Addictive than Cocaine?

We all know the dangers of cocaine, and for that matter, just how highly addictive it really is, but scientists made some astounding findings about cocaine-hooked lab rats and their preference for the other white powder–SUGAR! Sugar is everywhere, and you’re probably consuming a lot more of this toxic substance than you know. What’s more is that the food manufacturing companies use creative language to avoid writing SUGAR on the label, likely in an effort to fool the unsuspecting consumer.

Dangers of Sugar in Unsuspecting Foods

The food manufacturers know this dirty little secret, and they feed off of people, growing more powerful and rich by the day. Even the government can’t go against them, for a slew of reasons that are too lengthy and political to get into. They claim “nanny state” and all that stuff, but they are “slowly” killing people, or at least, putting their health at great risk, as well as the economy of the country.

They know that sugar is addictive, just look at the choice lab rats between sugar water and cocaine. Unfortunately, parents don’t realize that sugar is this addictive, nor that it can make themselves and their children ill.

Obesity and Diabetes Related to Sugar

Look around at all the obese children, from toddlers right through to teenagers. Obesity was never as prevalent as it has been over the last couple of decades, and it shows no sign of slowing down.

As such, with all this sugar in your food, it’s no wonder why you or your children may be putting on weight, even if you’re all counting calories. Low fat or low whatever is NOT going to help you shed any weight, and instead, may have you or your loved ones getting heavier and possibly becoming obese. If that’s not enough, it may be steering you directly toward type 2 diabetes.

The One Thing Lab Rice Choose Over Cocaine Might Be At the Root of Your Health Problems

The statistics show that more and more young children are developing type 2 diabetes, which is a frightening reality because this was a disease typical of adults around 40 years old, known as adult-onset diabetes. The CDC, or Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimate, according to the findings, that 1 in 3 America children will develop this disease. That’s 33% of the population! Imagine how sick our population will be. Moreover, imagine the impact on society, particularly the healthcare system.

What’s Real Food Anyway?

So, what changed to make these figures escalate to the point where young teens are developing an adult disease? Food! Or what we decide to call FOOD, these days. Who’s even eating real food anyway? Dinner doesn’t come out of a box, and it doesn’t contain complex ingredients that are even impossible to pronounce. Real food is real and simple. It’s also delicious and nutritious.

Depending on what you’re preparing, food may contain fat, which is important to the body. When food manufacturing companies want to present “food” as something good for you, and low in fat, they remove the fat and then it tastes terrible. To make it taste better they add sugar, and more sugar, and chemicals for taste, as well as salt. That’s NOT food.

Junk food is the culprit, and that comes in lots of forms, so you need to gradually part ways with it. Maybe doing it in one shot or cold turkey may be too much of a shock, but slowly making positive changes will help you and your family develop good eating habits and a diet suited to humans, not robots.

If you want to lose weight, the right approach it is to COOK wholesome food.
