Biotin is one vitamin your doctor will encourage you to take if you are losing your hair. So just what is biotin? Also known as vitamin B7, it helps to stimulate new growth, while maintaining the remaining hair. The lack of biotin and Hairloss are completely related, therefore, if you are suffering from such a problem, you must increase your intake of this particular vitamin.

In addition to that, you should also start eating more foods that contain this essential vitamin such as:

Royal jelly
brewers yeast
liver
legumes
soybeans
Swiss chard
tomatoes
Romain lettuce
carrots
eggs
almonds
onions
cabbage
cucumber
cauliflower
goats milk
cow’s milk
raspberries and strawberries
halibut
Oats
walnuts
alfalfa
dried yeasts

The recommended intake for adults, aged 19 to 70 years is 300 mg per day.

For those who suffer from different types of your problems, biotin supplements are usually recommended, even in children. Aside from biotin, there are a variety of other vitamins that can also help reverse the Hairloss problems that you may be experiencing. Thankfully, you don’t have to figure out the formula on your own, there are supplements made specifically for Hairloss. Also, it’s easier to take one vitamin than 10 different ones to counteract one problem.

Including genetics and stress, there are other factors that are directly related to hair loss in both men and women. Of course, certain medication, such as cancer therapy can often result in losing one’s hair as can hormonal changes. Hair loss vitamin deficiency is another. But, thankfully, you can reverse it if you act quickly, i.e. as soon as you notice your hair thinning or falling out.

Firstly, see your doctor. He must examine you and run certain tests to ensure all else is fine, medically speaking. At the same time, you can work on improving on your diet, including adding vitamins to ensure you are getting all the nutrients that are essential for healthy living and healthy hair.

Start by eating more fruits and vegetables. Reduce your intake of animal proteins. Then, supplements. Biotin (vitamin B7) and vitamin B5 are great in maintaining healthy hair and helps follicles to regrow new hair. Vitamin B12 is also helpful as it helps produce red cells. Vitamin B12 deficiency can cause problems for years.

Vitamin C helps to maintain proper circulation, which is the essential for follicles. If you are a smoker, you should increase the amount of vitamin C you intake as smoking depletes this vitamin.

Vitamin A deficiency leads to weak, dry and brittle hair. This can lead to problems of hair breaking off.

With that said, it is important to ensure that you are getting the right amount of these vitamins in order to avoid any type of vitamin overdose. Certain vitamins are stored in the liver and can cause problems you intake too much. Therefore, in order to avoid such problems, it may be better for you to take specialized formulated vitamins to counteract this problem and help with your hair loss.

Hair loss does not affect only men. Women and children can be affected too. However, not everyone loses their hair the same way, or for the same reasons. Nutrition is known to cause hair loss. If your diet is low in iron or protein, this can cause a certain type of hair loss known as alopecia.

If you are losing more than 100 hair each day, speak to your physician. Sometimes, hair loss is directly related to an underlying medical condition.

He can order tests to rule out diseases such as diabetes, thyroid, or lupus which are known to cause hair loss. Ensure your doctor knows of all medications you are taking, as some medications can be responsible for hair loss, too. Certain medication for treating arthritis, high blood pressure, and others including some birth control pills can cause hair loss.

The fact is that hair and nails can be an indication of overall health. Poor eating habits and pollution as well as stress all affect the hair. Although much can be done to improve hair on the outside, it is important to try to make improvements from the inside, too: meaning, eat better and supplement your diet with vitamins.

Walnut oil nurtures the scalp and can restore strength and shine, while the vitamin B group balances the scalp area by metabolizing the amino acids in keratin.

Hair loss is definitely attributed to the unhealthy diets of most Americans, i.e., high-animal protein, high fat and high-salt diet which damage the kidneys. Also American diets are very low in vitamins. Hormonal changes are brought about with excessive dieting and, therefore, hair loss is one of the major symptoms of anorexia and bulimia.

If you add proper vitamins to your diet via fruits and vegetables, you may succeed at slowing the loss of hair. Also, it would be advisable to decrease the amount of starches you eat.

Leaving the issue as is will only lead to permanent hair loss. Do what you can to avoid this and improve the situation.
