This is particularly true for women who are menopausal as hormones are the culprit.  In addition to that, people in this age group need to reduce the amount of calories they intake as the body starts to change how it processes those calories into energy.</p>
<p>With that said, weight loss is very possible when someone changes his or her diet.  That means that he doesn&#8217;t have to starve, just change some ingredients. At this point, it is important for everyone to understand carbohydrates.  There are two types: simple and complex.<br />

Simple carbohydrates are easily digested.  They are found in fruits, dairy products, processed foods and refined foods.  Complex carbohydrates stay with the body longer as they are not easily digested. These can be found in vegetables, legumes, whole grains and brown rice.</p>
<p>Therefore, in order to <strong>lose weight without dieting</strong>, you should switch from foods that are refined (such as all foods made with white flour, and those that contain white sugar, as well as white rice) to brown rice, whole grain or whole wheat flour.  These will make you feel full longer.  In other words, you will not be hungry as often or as quickly.  This in turn can help you to reduce your calorie intake.  Furthermore, they supply the body with much more energy than their counterparts.</p>
<p>In addition to that, you should increase the amount of fruits you eat, choose low-fat dairy products, and work and a little bit of exercise, which could be in the form of walking a few times a week.</p>
<p>Everyone will have to agree that these changes are very small but be results will be immense.  In fact, not only will you lose some weight, you will not gain it back as is always the case with other diets.</p>

In a cardio workout, your heart rate is elevated.  It will clear your mind, and help you to lower the risk for heart related diseases.  But, it doesn&#8217;t end there.  You will also be building muscles with this type of training, as well as burning fat.</p>
<p>For beginners, keeping it light is optimal.  This will help you to train enough to reach the next level.  For those who are already fit, advanced cardio fitness training is probably the best for you.  This would require about an hour for at least five times a week.</p>
<p>Before beginning any fitness regime, get the okay from your doctor to make sure that the exercises you&#8217;ve chosen are not too advanced for you or unsafe.</p>

<p>To gain health benefits, muscle-strengthening activities need to be done to the point where it&#8217;s hard for you to do another repetition without help.  A repetition is one complete movement of an activity, like lifting a weight or doing a sit-up.  Try to do 8—12 repetitions per activity that count as 1 set. Try to do at least 1 set of muscle-strengthening activities, but to gain even more benefits, do 2 or 3 sets.</p>
