While there are many commercial products available, nothing can be more wholesome than when they’re made at home. Using natural ingredients, you know exactly what goes into your products, and onto your face. Remember, proper skin care always begins at home. The problem is people find that it’s so time-consuming to make these products, and it’s just so much easier to reach for them on a store shelf and pay top dollar for something that would really cost a few pennies to make at home. This DIY homemade makeup remover wipes recipe requires only 4 ingredients, so it’s really simple and quick to make. Plus, it lasts a long time, requires no refrigeration, and will only cost a fraction of what the commercial product will cost.
What you’ll need:
- A jar with a lid
- A package of cotton pads
- 2 cups water
- 3 tbsp Coconut oil
- 1 tbsp baby bath wash
- 1/4 tsp tea tree oil (optional)
How to Make DIY Homemade Makeup Remover Wipes
In a bowl, mix the coconut oil, the baby bath wash, and the water. Stir well. Then add the tea tree oil, if you so wish and stir again.
In the jar, place a stack of cotton pads about halfway up. Next, add some of the liquid solution to cover the jar. Push down to ensure the cotton pads have absorbed the solution. Add more cotton pads, and more of the solution. Cover with the lid.
Your DIY homemade makeup remover wipes are ready for use. Store at room temperature.
Some prefer to use paper towels as opposed to cotton pads, but that’s just a personal choice. One way or the other, the paper towels soften with the solution, so they wouldn’t necessarily be abrasive. However, you’ll have to find another type of container in which to store the wipes.
