Including genetics and stress, there are other factors that are directly related to hair loss in both men and women. Of course, certain medication, such as cancer therapy can often result in losing one’s hair as can hormonal changes. Hair loss vitamin deficiency is another. But, thankfully, you can reverse it if you act quickly, i.e. as soon as you notice your hair thinning or falling out.

Firstly, see your doctor. He must examine you and run certain tests to ensure all else is fine, medically speaking. At the same time, you can work on improving on your diet, including adding vitamins to ensure you are getting all the nutrients that are essential for healthy living and healthy hair.

Start by eating more fruits and vegetables. Reduce your intake of animal proteins. Then, supplements. Biotin (vitamin B7) and vitamin B5 are great in maintaining healthy hair and helps follicles to regrow new hair. Vitamin B12 is also helpful as it helps produce red cells. Vitamin B12 deficiency can cause problems for years.

Vitamin C helps to maintain proper circulation, which is the essential for follicles. If you are a smoker, you should increase the amount of vitamin C you intake as smoking depletes this vitamin.

Vitamin A deficiency leads to weak, dry and brittle hair. This can lead to problems of hair breaking off.

With that said, it is important to ensure that you are getting the right amount of these vitamins in order to avoid any type of vitamin overdose. Certain vitamins are stored in the liver and can cause problems you intake too much. Therefore, in order to avoid such problems, it may be better for you to take specialized formulated vitamins to counteract this problem and help with your hair loss.

Vitamins are organic substances (made by plants or animals), minerals are inorganic elements that come from the earth; soil and water and are absorbed by plants. Animals and humans absorb minerals from the plants they eat. Vitamins and minerals are nutrients that your body needs to grow and develop normally.

Vitamins and minerals, have a unique role to play in maintaining your health. For example Vitamin D helps your body absorb the amount of calcium (a mineral) it needs to form strong bones. A deficiency in vitamin D can result in a disease called rickets (softening of the bones caused by the bodies inability to absorb the mineral calcium.) The body cannot produce calcium; therefore, it must be absorbed through our food. Other minerals like chromium, copper, iodine, iron, selenium, and zinc are called trace minerals because you only need very small amounts of them each day. The best way to get enough vitamins is to eat a balanced diet with a variety of foods. You can usually get all your vitamins from the foods you eat.

Many products are marketed as dietary supplements. It is important to remember that supplements include vitamins and minerals, as well as herbs, botanicals and other substances.

Fruits and vegetables come in terrific colors and flavors, but their real beauty lies in what’s inside. Fruits and vegetables are great sources of many vitamins, minerals and other natural substances that may help protect you from chronic diseases.

To get a healthy variety, think color. Eating fruits and vegetables of different colors gives your body a wide range of valuable nutrients, like fiber, folate, potassium, and vitamins A and C. Some examples include green spinach, orange sweet potatoes, black beans, yellow corn, purple plums, red watermelon, and white onions. For more variety, try new fruits and vegetables regularly.

Fruits and vegetables are sources of many vitamins, minerals and other natural substances that may help protect you from chronic diseases. Some of these nutrients may also be found in other foods. Eating a balanced diet and making other lifestyle changes are key to maintaining your body’s good health.
Fruits and vegetables are sources of many vitamins, minerals and other natural substances that may help protect you from chronic diseases. Some of these nutrients may also be found in other foods. Eating a balanced diet and making other lifestyle changes are key to maintaining your body’s good health.

Diets rich in dietary fiber have been shown to have a number of beneficial effects including decreased risk of coronary artery disease. Excellent vegetable sources:
navy beans, kidney beans, black beans, pinto beans, lima beans, white beans, soybeans, split peas, chick peas, black eyed peas, lentils, artichokes

Healthful diets with adequate folate may reduce a woman’s risk of having a child with a brain or spinal cord defect. Excellent vegetable sources:
black eyed peas, cooked spinach, great northern beans, asparagus

Diets rich in potassium may help to maintain a healthy blood pressure. Good fruit and vegetable sources:
sweet potatoes, tomato paste, tomato puree, beet greens, white potatoes, white beans, lima beans, cooked greens, carrot juice, prune juice

Vitamin A keeps eyes and skin healthy and helps to protect against infections. Excellent fruit and vegetable sources: sweet potatoes, pumpkin, carrots, spinach, turnip greens, mustard greens, kale, collard greens, winter squash, cantaloupe, red peppers, Chinese cabbage.

Vitamin C helps heal cuts and wounds and keep teeth and gums healthy. Excellent fruit and vegetable sources: red and green peppers, kiwi, strawberries, sweet potatoes, kale, cantaloupe, broccoli, pineapple, Brussels sprouts, oranges, mangoes, tomato juice, cauliflower.

In addition to fruits and vegetables, a healthful diet also includes whole grains, fat-free or low-fat milk and milk products, lean meats, poultry, fish, dry beans, eggs and nuts, and is low in saturated fats, trans fats, cholesterol, salt, and added sugars.

Fruits and vegetables contain essential vitamins, minerals, and fiber that may help protect you from chronic diseases. Compared with people who consume a diet with only small amounts of fruits and vegetables, those who eat more generous amounts as part of a healthful diet are likely to have reduced risk of chronic diseases, including stroke and perhaps other cardiovascular diseases, and certain cancers.

Whole Foods or Supplements?
Nutrients should come primarily from foods. Foods such as fruits and vegetables contain not only the vitamins and minerals that are often found in supplements, but also other naturally occurring substances that may help protect you from chronic diseases.

For some people, fortified foods or supplements can be helpful in getting the nutrients their bodies need. A fortified food contains a nutrient in an amount greater than what is typically found in that food.

Fruits and Vegetables on the Go!
Busy lives can benefit from food that’s nutritious, yet easy to eat on-the-go, like fresh fruits and vegetables. Fruits and vegetables are a natural source of energy and give the body many nutrients you need to keep going.

Although eating right and getting the proper exercise can really improve the condition of your skin and help your skin to look younger, it doesn’t end there. This guide to staying young speaks of coenzyme Q10. Vitamin deficiencies impact your overall health and have an impact directly on your skin.

If you have very dry skin, could be a result of a deficiency of vitamin A. if you suffer from sores or eczema or other types of dermatitis, it can be a result of a vitamin B deficiency.

It is important for everyone to pay attention to their bodies, the way they look in terms of wrinkling, skin problems, the condition of the eyes, etc. these are all signs that your body is giving you that are related to health issues.

Coenzyme Q 10 is an antioxidant. Antioxidants are required and necessary to proper bodily function. It helps to produce energy in each cell. As we age, this antioxidant decreases in production. As its production begins to decrease, free radical production increases, resulting in premature aging.

Therefore it is important to take a coenzyme Q10 supplement. Not only will it benefit your skin, but your overall health. Studies have shown that it is very beneficial to the heart by enabling it to pump more blood.

You can also find this antioxidant in food. The problem here is that it often becomes lost in cooking. Foods that contain the coenzyme Q10 include organ meats, eggs, beef, pork, lamb, some fish, wheat germ, peanuts, spinach, and broccoli.

Everyone is talking about resveratrol, including Barbara Walters. So, just what is this miracle that has the health industry is flipping for? Well, for one, the benefit with resveratrol is to prevent premature aging. Scientists have discovered something in red wine that proves beneficial to antiaging, and they’ve named it resveratrol. Unfortunately, in order to benefit from it through red wine means having to drink about 1000 bottles of red wine each day. Thankfully, it now comes in the form of a supplement, but can often be difficult to find at drug stores.
